“You go, Canada! Who’s a best-seller now?”

They’ve got it figured out up north: I just heard that the Canadian edition of my first Field & Stream collection, The Total Outdoorsman Manual, just hit #2 on the Globe & Mail bestseller list for nonfiction hardbook books! I beat out The Fangirls’ Guide to the Galaxy, a dog memoir, and some book about living a vibrant, hopeful future. Heck yeah, those Canucks have their priorities straight, I’d say. Big cross-border high five to my pal Brad Fenson, who “Canada-ized” the book for readers north of the 49th parallel.

I’d be remiss not to mention that the second title in the series, The Total Outdoorman Manual: Skills & Tools, still has that new-car smell after only 5 months off the press….
